We have eaten at Green Tea twice and really enjoyed the food. The first time we ordered the 2 course pecking duck which was delicious and the second time we ordered the lobster for two which was excellent. The decor is very nice and the service is good BUT they are too quick with the food. The main entrees were brought to our table as we were still eating our appetizer. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. I like to enjoy the meal and take my time and felt rushed.Read more
Built in 1925 by John Smallman, The Windermere Manor is a faithful architectural reflection of Tudor, England and a fitting tribute to John's father Thomas, a founding member of The Imperial Oil Company. The Smallman family had a passion for breeding and racing horses. Down the path between the hotel and Manor House, there are remnants of an old stone bridge that was once part of a horse run that wound through the property. The original farm was a horse farm and cash crops were also grown.Although slightly altered, the Manor's interior retains the feeling of a by-gone era of warmth and luxury. The baronial splendor of the Grand Hall, with it's lofty ceilings, hand-hewn beams, oak balcony and welcoming wood-burning stone fireplace all echo a by-gone era of pageantry and privilege.

We were there last night January 27th. Our server was Greg. He was so attentive and as I said to my family a really nice guy. Dinner was delicious, Greg apologized for not having the regular birthday desert but let me say again the cheesecake was Devine! Thank everyone for making my dinner as wonderful as it was! Read more

I brought in a tour group of 33 people and the manager Jodi and her staff were waiting for us when we arrived. They provided great service and the food was very good. The group all voted they would go back again! Thank you so much! Our travel date was on 9/24/11 and arrived around 6:15pm for dinner. It was also nice being a family restaurant you could order wine, beer etc. One of the ladies in our group was having a birthday and the staff provided a slice of choc. cake and sang Happy B-day!Read more

When La Casa Ristorante first opened its doors on March 10, 1994, proprietor Syl Basacco had already done his homework by studying and copying many of our Mom's recipes from back home in Ceprano, Italy. In fact it used to be quite the treat when La Casa featured our Mom's home-made lasagna as the daily special. Some of these recipes are still on our menu today, along with many other delicious dishes our talented chefs have created over the years. Bottom line : you don't last this long unless your food is really good!
My husband and I dined at La Casa on Saturday night. We started with Mussels for appetizer - delicious...I wanted to drink the sauce it was so good. We also shared a Ceasar Salad. The dressing was very nice, perhaps a bit too much garlic (a little too overwhelming). Still tasty though.
I ordered lobster pasta, all I can say is DELICIOUS! So tasty. I brought some home and was looking forward to eating it again the next day for lunch. My husband ordered beef tenderloin. Again, delicious! Tender, perfectly cooked and tasty. The waiter was very professional and friendly. We had a great time and a fantastic meal. No wonder La Casa is still one of the best restaurant's in London. It's so nice to go out for dinner and receive a great meal. The meals are not pretentious or overpriced (unlike other London restaurants in the downtown area). The food is simply delicious. Thank you for a great night out!Read more
