This was a sigularly phenomenal experience. All of our food was lick-your-plate excellent. I love their investment in local food producers. Their housemade breads, butters, pastas totally show it. We also were treated to a random complimentary amuse-bouche of a pork terrine with caramelized onions on crostini. Vanilla creme brulee was the single best creme brulee I've ever had--PERFECTLY burnt sugar. Truly amazing prices for food this good. ONLY down thought? Cocktails are expensive and taste like actual booze. Given that I'm normally a fruity liqour drinker, they were hard drinks to swallow! A connaisseur might feel differently. Katsura is tucked away in a separate, but connected, building right beside the main building of the Prince Hotel. The food here is very good but only slightly better than the cheaper places in the area. The teppanyaki tables are good. The sushi is fresh. The prices are high and the portions are not particularly large. So why would someone choose this place over its cheaper competitors? It's the decor and the service that makes this place stand out. From the moment you step in out of the snow, you are surrounded by tasteful Japanese decor. In the main dining area, the place is elegant, simple and to the point. The design allows large groups to eat in semi-isolation. This is the restaurant you impress your dining partner, be it a business meeting or a first date. Read more

Starving while walking out from the subway, my boyfriend recommended this place since it was his go to place with his buddies for sushi. I was thinking that since it was a la carte it would be more expensive but surprisingly it wasn't. The place was quite busy and the service was somewhat slow. We ordered 2 supreme bento boxes at 10 dollars a piece and a spicy crunchy california roll as well as extra shrimp tempura. It was more than enough to fill us up and we had leftovers as well. They gave out generous portions for their price and the quality is good for its price. The service was decent and the bill wasn't expensive at all. I would definitely come back. Read more

At Oyster Boy, we eat, live and breathe oysters. We love their hard shells, their smooth taste and that the un-class-conscious way they make themselves at home in a rowdy pub or a black tie affair. But more than anything, we love to share these magnificent mollusks and all their juicy secrets with the masses!
