I feel completely fortunate to be receiving voice instructions from Serge. He teaches in a way that is easy to follow and makes learning to sing a joy. It is amazing how much my voice has improved! I had not learned Bel Canto in the past and most definitely the improvement is a result of his extensive knowledge of this art. I highly recommend Serge!!Read more
Great teacher.Yes she is tuff but she gets you results. To the lady that went to specialization ppl. Now that is real scam, either you can sing or you can't. What Deborah does is very similar to what a Broadway musical vocal coach does. She tries to break you, she teaches you to sing confidently without a microphone and also helps you along the way with theory as you improve. I left Deborah a few years ago and I regret it. I found her again and I am so happy. I'm ready now, throw it at me!Read more
As the sole proprietor of Singers' Studio, Heather Dufault has over twenty years' experience in performing and teaching singing in the Ottawa area. Prior to this, she studied and performed professionally as a singer and singing teacher for several years in Europe, and has worked with world-class teachers and performers on both sides of the Atlantic. This wealth of experience uniquely qualifies her to diagnose and remediate vocal problems, assist in establishing the foundations of excellent technique in the beginner, and share insight on performance style across a wide range of repertoire including classical and opera; musical theatre; and the many types of contemporary commercial/pop vocal styles. Emphasis is always on developing a natural and instinctive way of singing that permits the student to gain a deep understanding of their own voice and makes it easy for them to progress independently and confidently!
