Johnston Packers was established in 1937 by Mr. Carmen Johnston in Chilliwack, BC. At that time he offered custom slaughtering services and had one full-time and one part-time employee. Seventy-two years later Johnston's is still in Chilliwack, still offers custom slaughter, but now employs and supports over 120 families in the area who work directly for Johnston's.

True North Foods: We are on the brink of opening a CFIA certified ruminant slaughter plant just outside of Carman, Manitoba. Strong Local Ownership and Management: This plant is built by Manitobans for Manitobans. We are owned and managed by successful Ag and business people that live right here in Manitoba who, by their past record, have shown their ability to achieve success and are totally committed to the success in this project. Great Location: Our South Central location provides better direct access to the plant for producers from all across the province.
