Over 74 years ago, founder Weldon Nieforth opened a store in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and it resides in its original location today. Originally a radio repair shop, Nieforth Furnishers added sales in radios, musical instruments, records and small and major appliances. Sometime around 1957, Nieforth Furnishers tapped into the custom furniture market and it has been their main focus since the 1970’s. Nieforth Furnishers is proud to feature mainly Canadian suppliers of solid wood furnishings. While we do occasionally carry imported furniture, rest assured that those products have met Nieforth’s standards of quality and workmanship.
