I've been to this place many times and i admit in the past I've been disappointed. proximity alone kept us going back until recently; There has been a complete change in atmosphere.
Over the last Month or so the service has improved as has the food quality! The Servers look like they're happy to be there and genuinely happy to have you there, big smiles and all!

Quiet Halloween in our neighbourhood so decided to go out to eat ... had lovely 1/2 price wings (garlic parmesan) and a delish open faced beef sandwich with tasty fries (not frozen junk) .. and a $5 Caesar - our server was so polite and friendly - will definately go back

I absolutely love to eat out, and do it a great deal. I have eaten at many fine dining restaurants throughout Ottawa. Over the last two years, each time I go out, I realize I cannot top this moxies. The food may not be considered fine dining, but it is very good. What makes up for it is the service. The staff at this location are fabulous. From the minute I walk in the door we are treated exceptionally. I have some food allergies, and they always treat me superbly and with the utmost care.

We have been to Lunergan's many times and this is our local pub. It has a great atmosphere everyone is very friendly including the staff. The service is prompt and they make you feel welcome.

Really Love this place for both food and drinks. Their variety of food items on the menu is delicious and staff is really a hoot and make me laugh whenever I'm there. They know how to control the situation when too many drinks have been had, without making a bad situation. Impressed me lots and wish them the best in their business.

This restaurant is such a contradiction. It has the potential to become the best restaurant in Ottawa (if not the country). All the elements are in place. Awesome, atmosphere, great staff (mostly), and good food. The only stick in the ointment is a single toxic personality in the guise of a server, who seems intent on destroying all of that and ensuring that you never come back. She's a bit older than the other servers (who are all excellent), but this is not about age. Irene's up the road seems like an older crowd of patrons and servers, but they are awesome...but I digress, this not about Irene's, I just wanted to show that the contradiction at Patty's boils down to one personality. It's a real pity, because everything and everyone else there is out of this world.
