Animal Medical Hospital's origins are lost in the mists of time. It has been extant in some form since the early 1980's, originally having a couple of locations in the Ambleside area. In the mid-1990's it arrived at its current home on Bellevue Avenue in Dundarave. Dr Cathy Wilkie purchased the practice in early 2001 and has been enjoying the people, pets, and paradise of West Vancouver ever since.

A little information about our clinic City Petcare Hospital had its grand opening September 6, 2008. There have been many changes since then. Over the years we have acquired an amazing team of individuals who have all obtained their Veterinary assistant certificate. We continue to bring in new equipment and up grades to our clinic. Some of the changes done within the last couple years have included computerizing the clinic, digital X-rays and an in house laboratory. These can help diagnose medical issues in a timely fashion. We continuously strive to bring in more equipment for monitoring, diagnosing and keeping your pets safe and comfortable while they are with us. We have worked with many societies and rescue groups in order to give back to the community.
