Industrial Power Tool is a family owned business that has operated for 5 decades. Don Johnson, who originally founded the business, moved it to the little yellow building on Spiller Road 35 years ago. In 1992, the business was taken over by Hellmut Schmidt, and 14 years ago Hellmut’s daughter Sue began managing the shop. Due to the need for a larger space, we moved the business to its current location in Calgary. At Industrial Powertool, we repair a number of mechanical and electrical tools. We are well-known in the area for being experts in our craft, and we receive repair requests from all over Canada. Local shop repairs are available as well as shipping.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells quality new and gently used furniture, appliances, and building materials. All of the products sold at the ReStore come from individual donors and businesses in our community. The funds generated by the ReStore are used to support Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta by covering the administration costs of the chapter, allowing us to provide affordable housing to more families. Shopping at the ReStore also prevents perfectly useable items from ending up in landfills. ReStore across Canada diverted as much as 20,000 tonnes of materials from landfills in 2010.
