Scott, president & founder, established Scott’s Landscaping and Design in 1978 in Orillia. Kevin’s father, William Scott, retired from the aircraft industry and began helping in the business. In 1981, Kevin and William incorporated the company and became partners. William was an integral part of the business for over 25 years. In 1983 they purchased the property at 254 Coldwater Road where Scott's Garden Centre continues to grow today. Kevin's wife, Pat, joined the company in 1986.
