I have been going to Dr Carkner for over 30 years. He has all the qualities of a doctor one would ask for. He is caring, knows his academic medicine, is very patient with his patient's concerns and speaks very clearly. The office areas are very clean. Over the years I have found the office staff also very caring. I was a patient of Dr. Nguyen. He saved my life by diagnosing malignant melanoma at an early stage. I went to him to have some moles removed. He ignored these moles and did a thorough scan of my body with a magnifying glass. He zeroed in on two small black moles no bigger than the head of a pin. He muttered, “this doesn’t look good”, and did an immediate biopsy. Two days later he called me in to say that the biopsy was positive for a particularly aggressive form of melanoma.
