La Sauvagine, on the ground floor, offers market fresh cuisine and specializes in Québec game. A wrap-around outdoor terrace is accessible to patrons of both restaurants.
The entrance is hidden and small. You take the stairs up and open an old wooden door to enter a beautiful and elegant old-fashioned dining room. Live guitar plays intermittently in the background with some Portuguese songs. We left our wine and food choices to our waiter, and we were not disappointed. The bottle of Portuguese Dona Maria was quite flavourful and fresh. The potato and kale soupe was just lovely. The seafood platter (which must be the Portuguese version of the paella) was very generous with everything from a whole lobster to mussels. While not spicy, it had no fishy smell to it at all. The deserts were as delightful. We left very happy. Read more
