I have been writing short stories since the mid-1990s, but mostly since 2004. I've had a lot of experience with people in my past work positions, particularly in my position until 2015, which was mainly as a Computer Studies teacher for 12 years at Albert Campbell Collegiate Institute in Scarborough, Ontario. Before that, for 3 years, I was teaching in a similar capacity at Don Mills Collegiate Institute. I am now a retired teacher with over 15 years' full-time experience. I'm also a proud mother and grandmother. I've studied psychology and sociology at university and I have a fair number of university and college English courses to my credit. As a full-time student at Seneca College, I was a part-time English tutor for two years (1993-1995) and I won Seneca College's Tom Proctor Award in 1995 for Excellence in Business Communications.
