BOCC is a member of the Canadian Bankers Association, Canadian Payments Association, as well as the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation ('CDIC'). CDIC insures eligible Canadian dollar deposits at member institutions having tenures of up to five years and up to C$100,000 per depositor. BOCC opened its first branch in Toronto's Chinatown in 1994, followed by the Vancouver branch in 1995. The second branch, in the Greater Toronto Area, was opened in Scarborough in 2005.
