The Canadian Iaido Association is an organization dedicated to the study and promotion of Iaido in Canada. In 2014 the CIA became officially recognized as a Kyoukai of the Nishi Tokyo Shibu in the Kantou Chiku Renmei of the All Japan Iaido Federation (ZNIR). Canada is the first foreign Country to join the ZNIR in its entire 60 year ongoing history. The Canadian Iaido Assocation is registered under the British Columbia Society Act and as such we are a non-profit organization. All officers and instructors are volunteers and receive no pay. I have been practicing with the Canadian Iaido Association for several years now and It is a great group to train with. The classes are fairly small so the sensei has a lot of time for one and one teaching/corrections.
