Stopped for lunch today at Detour Cafe where we enjoyed delicious grilled cheese sandwiches and two attractively prepared cortados. Seriously, everything was done to perfection. The barista's work was flawless and the servers were friendly and helpful. Stephanie, the manager, made us feel really welcome. Couldn't be happier. Certainly a 5 Star experience.

Great ambiance, friendly staff, good choice of lunch and dinner items, reasonable prices, nice wine list, and great little patio in front in the Summer. Parking is an issue as you have to park around the corner, but that's typical for everything along the main street in Dundas . You have to find a metered spot (free in the evening). :) I'm looking forward to eating there again. I've been there 4 times this past year.

Victor Goncalves was 10 years old when he began his first job as a bakers assistant in the small town of Loubagueira near Torres Vedras, Portugal. Being from a large lower class family, Victor worked countless hours just to be able to put food into the mouths of his brothers and sister.
