The original café and Roastery are located just off Douglas on Discovery Street, opposite Paul's Motor Inn. Early in the morning, when the roaster is at full throttle, you can follow your nose right to the door. This café has two spaces. In the lively, eclectic main café you can drink our fine coffees as espresso, through a pour-over and on the french-press. You can also bring your coffee and goodies over to the quiet lounge and training facility to plug in your laptop and enjoy our free wi-fi or meet with friends.
We took a lot of time looking for our 'next' vehicle. We were very surprised at how poorly we were treated in some dealerships ... but Discovery Honda in Duncan changed all that for us. They made it easy to buy a vehicle with no nonsense and no pressure. We are absolutely delighted with all the people who helped us from Red our salesman, to everyone else who participated in our purchase. We picked up our new CR V yesterday and are going back in a week for 'Honda lessons'! Thanks to all!Read more

Divine Elements Health Centre was brought to life through the passion and vision of Doctors Sonya and Nicholas Jensen. They have done extensive travelling abroad prior to the conception of the clinic which has greatly influenced them and the way they practice. It is their goal to inspire others to find their joy and balance through lifestyle changes, nutritional implementation/supplementation and developing a consistent practice to continually grow and improve oneself. Together they've built a clinic that encompasses Ayurvedic/Yogic philosophy and lifestyle along with modern treatments that work on the core of one's imbalance. The clinic continues to grow through the nurturing relationships they've developed with their partners in healing. In 2012 Divine Elements became the first clinic in British Columbia to incorporate the Truebalance Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy program.
This place is definitely the best Vancouver has to offer. I love coming here and gaining new insights from the Doctor I frequent often, Dr. Jensen. The knowledge on the natural way of healing is outstanding. I originally came here to find alternative methods to stress relief and a bad case of acid reflux. The sit down I had with them was very inspiring and after a little bit of undergoing treatments, I was a new person. Their methods work and since my first visit I've tried some of the other things they offer such as detoxes which have proven to be unbelievably helpful. Awesome staf, awesome place.Read more
The greatest asset of the Dockside Restaurant and Brewing Company -- besides its friendly and well-trained staff -- is its fabulous location. Nestled in the boutique Granville Island Hotel, Dockside combines the two features Vancouver is most famous for: stunning views and spectacular food. Chef Simon McNeil combines fresh seasonal ingredients, on his seafood focused menu, with an uncomplicated execution that is sure to astound the most discerning food critic. Winemaker and Master Brewer Peter Haupenthal, boasting more than 23 years of experience, offers eight unique hand-crafted beers. Wine lovers will be equally content gazing at the Vancouver cityscape and majestic North Shore mountains over the carefully selected and well priced 150 bottle wine list. If all that isn't enough, the Golden Plates 2013 Best Patio is sure to entice as it's the perfect spot to eat, drink and visit while the boats go floating by.
We had a lovely table by the window so we had a nice view. Overall ambience is very bright and contemporary. To our benefit the restaurant was not that busy on a weeknight and we parked very close. The service was very good. We enjoyed their daily flatbread special and crab cakes to start. For our mains we went with halibut and osso bucco, both too were very good and cooked just right. And to finish went with a delicious choco molten cake just perfect to share. Read more
In 1953, five different Japanese companies merged to form Fuji Heavy Industries. They adopted a cluster of five stars as the logo of the line of vehicles they introduced. Fuji Heavy Industries chose the name Subaru for these vehicles. It´s the Japanese word for 'unite'. Subarus were first introduced into the United States in 1968. The first Subaru in North America was the 360, a mini-car with a 25hp engine. It went from 0-50 in 37 seconds. Not surprisingly, it wasn´t a huge bestseller. Canadians got their first exposure to the benefits of Subaru All-Wheel Drive in 1976. That was the year that Subaru Auto Canada Limited introduced a full range of Subaru vehicles into the country. In 1989 this company was taken over by Subaru Canada, a subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries. They began an expansion process that would eventually result in a network of over 100 dealers across the country. Docksteader Subaru opened in 1993.
