The place is gorgeous. We were invited here by friends to eat, and at first I didn't agree because I didn't know the place, but to be honest, I'm glad they convinced me Read more

High-end, authentic Portuguese cuisine defines this Little Italy treat, where fresh fish and a classy, unpretentious atmosphere are always the catch of the day. The fresh white ricotta-like queijo fresco amuse bouches and warm basket of sliced cornbread with nutty olive oil dip that launch the experience are well appreciated. From there, online reviewers gush about the quality of the seafood here, pausing particularly to wax over the octopus, monkfish and pan-seared skate fish. The wine list has some unique Portuguese selections, and the staff is well versed in their distinctions. Chiado's décor is simple but stylish, with contemporary art lining the walls and minimally adorned tables draped in double linens.
I loved everything about this restaurant! From the valet service at the door, the discreet but highly efficient service, the fresh and delicious seafood and wonderfully light Molotov dessert, and the extensive list of Portuguese wines. The atmosphere is lively and sophisticated. Nothing dull here. Yes, this has got to be the best Portuguese restaurant in Toronto! Would definitely recommend for special occasions or romantic dinners. This cozy 15-seater makes for a special lunchtime addition to the burger-choked Alexandra Park landscape. The snackbar-style setting serves up quick and tasty Mediterranean-style sandwiches, falafels and poutine, all with a decidedly healthy bent to them. Everything is prepared in house, including the stone-oven baked pita breads and the zingy Jordanian hummous in which to dip them. This sunny spot is the introductory location for what promises to be a Middle Eastern snack bar chain that will eventually extend its reach across the city.
This bad ass downtown Mexican resto and tequila bar has all the fixings for a great night out. Scene stealers gather in the pink-accented charismatic space to chow down on flank steak tacos and sip Manny's Margaritas by candlelight. Special mention is consistently showered on the homemade salsa tower. The cozy environs make an elegant shift from dinner restaurant to moody lounge. A complimentary coat check is a nice touch and a warm-weather patio with an outdoor kitchen extends the magic.

Prohibition may have left The Junction dry until 2000, but Cantina is here to help the neighbourhood catch up. Our menu is filled with delicious tapas style dishes and we've redesigned and revamped our cocktail list to bring something special to Dundas West and Keele.
I've been here a number of times and I'm never disappointed! Its a great place to bring friends to try something delicious and unique. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I was there on a recent Saturday evening at 5:30 and had to wonder, though, why the hostess felt compelled to inform me that my table was booked at 7:30. It felt rather rude and unwelcoming. I have no control over the efficiency of your kitchen or servers. There must be a better way. A sign? A note on your website? Read more
