Each of these components is important and has significance for the Division. These components are explained in the following text. Duck Bay is a community located in the Canadian province of Manitoba, along the western shores of Lake Winnipegosis. It was established at the turn of the century as a Hudson's Bay Company trading post, and is named after the bay on which it is situated. A gravel road to nearby Camperville, Manitoba was completed in 1952.The primary industries of the community are fishing, trapping and some agriculture. The Duck Bay wharf provides berthing for 15-20 skiffs and 3-5 whitefish vessels. There are 10-15 boats regularly fishing from Duck Bay's harbour, with approximately 50 fishermen in total from local and surrounding areas.
