Artisano Bakery Café was thought up by brothers Michael and Joe Simeone and their friend Kathy Stoodley. The entrepreneurial trio wanted to translate their love of home-style baking and fresh food into an exciting new restaurant concept – a friendly neighbourhood café where people were treated like guests, not customers. A place where the food was healthy and fresh, not fast and fried. And they wanted it to all happen in a warm and friendly environment where people could relax and enjoy wholesome meals and fresh-baked goods.
This unique concept, the first of its kind in Canada, paired with a rising desire for fresh and wholesome food served up in a friendly and relaxing environment, proved to be a winning combination.
Aroma Expresso Bar invites you to their dining room. Come sit on their terrace under the sun and can get there by public transit. They are positioned in a location filled with coffee shops, restaurants, parks and stores.
Opening its first Toronto location in 2007, aroma espresso bar has quickly become a hit among coffee aficionados, as well as anyone else looking to warm up, cool down, fill up, or hang out. The sleek, modern decor underscores the simple approach aroma has taken, creating a comfortable atmosphere in which to enjoy its gourmet coffee, delicately-roasted using imported fine Arabica beans. Along with featuring over a dozen coffee classics, aroma also offers tea, as well as a rich, delectable hot chocolate. Its on-site open kitchen bakes a selection of fresh breads and pastries throughout the day, while preparing healthy, made-to-order salads and sandwiches. Aroma's innovative menu and energetic staff have fuelled word of mouth across Toronto, transforming it into a destination for lovers of fresh, high-quality food and coffee. Of course, free WiFi and a free chocolate with every order doesn't hurt either.
We opened our first Canadian Aroma Espresso Bar branch in 2007 in Toronto's Annex neighbourhood. The Canadian branch is similar in many ways to our other branches worldwide: gourmet coffee, fresh and healthy food, a pleasant atmosphere and great service. The menu underwent slight changes in order to better suit the local palate. The Canadian coffee market is highly competitive with customers who have vast knowledge of quality coffee. Aroma has become a significant brand in this market in a short time.
