Recently I have done my defensive driving course from AB Welcome Driving School Inc. In the course time my experience is excellent. My child has been attending this Daycare and Out of School Care a month prior to starting Kindergarten. She is now in Grade 2. It is a welcoming environment, and the staff members are always helpful. Needless to say that the Director is wonderful. This is a safe place and that is very important to me. Glass, stone, tile and found objects - some new, some repurposed, some picked up in unlikely places - often inspire the outcome themselves (see Strata - glass and salvaged beach glass piece on Gallery Page).
The first project I completed was my bathroom wall and vanity countertop...the wall a spontaneous floral explosion, the counter a more peaceful curvilinear rock stream. Without exception, everyone who saw it said "Wow!", followed by some further comment or question. After hearing the same response several times over, I realized this new endeavour already had a name, and WowFactor Mosaics was born.
