Family owned and operated since 1988, Retirement Concepts is proud to provide high-quality services, care and housing to seniors across British Columbia, Alberta and Quebec.
With 27 facilities Nationally, Retirement Concepts has developed a philosophy that is ‘resident focused’. We believe our employees are our strength. We are fortunate to have on our team, wonderful people who are compassionate, caring and highly professional. Everyone has a role, and ultimately their only goal is looking after our residents, ensuring their safety, and making sure they and their families feel confident in us.
We know that moves are difficult for anyone, and more so for seniors, so it’s important to make the process as simple as possible. There are many retirement homes for seniors, so we also know that in order to remain competitive our standards need to be high, and our prices reasonable.

Haro Park Centre is a Campus of Care in Vancouver, BC, which provides independent housing, assisted living and residential care (complex care), allowing elders the opportunity to age in place. As needs change, we are able to provide elders with the necessary care without moving them away from the home they have come to know and the relationships they have developed.
Harrison Point offers residence all the same basic needs in order to be comfortable in life. A good home environment, nourishing meals, security, safety, friendship, exercise and a degree of independence go a long way in helping us lead happy, healthy lives. Today, many seniors have turned to congregate care and assisted living communities to provide the quality of life that they so truly want and deserve.
The Port Coquitlam Senior Citizen's Housing Society is a non profit organization founded in 1958. The Society provides a wide range of services to seniors, from low income housing to long term residential care for those seniors with complex care needs. These services are offered at two different sites within the Port Coquitlam area: Hawthorne Seniors Care Community is conveniently located close to downtown Port Coquitlam, public transportation and the Wilson Seniors Centre. Hawthorne Seniors Care Community currently operates under contracts with Fraser Health to provide 131 spaces for individuals requiring complex residential care and 60 spaces in the Adult Day Program. We have recently opened a newly renovated Assisted Living Tower. The completion of the redevelopment project has truly made the site a Hawthorne Seniors Care Community, a campus of care offering the following care and service options:Residential Complex Care, Main building - Complex Care Program (75 spaces) Cottages - Dementia Care and Psychogeriatric programs (56 spaces) Adult Day Program (60 weekly spaces) Assisted Living and Supportive Housing (70 suites) Hawthorne Seniors Care Community is a Campus of Care offering a variety of care and services options. This concept envisions a single location where opportunities to access an array of housing, care and service options are provided. This concept maximizes opportunities for older adults to remain living in the same environment and neighbourhood despite changing functional and health status.Throughout the services offered on site the focus on wellness and quality of life is predominate. The various program teams endeavour to offer all possible supports to maximize functional ability and enable residents/tenants to self direct and retain a sense of control in their lives.Foundational to all programs offered on site is an emphasis on a social model of service and care and a sense of home . Resident participation in activities related to the functioning of their home and community is be encouraged and welcomed. As well, residents/tenants are be provided with opportunities to participate in social and recreational activities of their choosing. We strive for strong community partnerships. Our vision is one in which the boundaries between home and community are porous, allowing for a free flow back and forth and reducing the loneliness, boredom and isolation that some experience when the external world is no longer readily available to them.
