FPS is a psychological practice with a multidisciplinary clinical team. Our practice is oriented to working with people in a holistic manner, addressing core issues related to problematic functioning with a strength-based orientation to facilitate change, personal growth and wellness. FPS offers two clinical streams. FPS Psychological Health Services provides general psychological services attending to an array of personal issues. Areas of specialization include addictions, abuse and trauma, emotion management and relationships. Forensic Psychological Services provides assessment, treatment, consultation and training in areas related to the application of clinical services in legal systems and to individuals who have come in contact with the law and/or demonstrate problematic behaviours that have the potential to bring them in conflict with the law. The personal care home on Burrows was first opened in 1972 and expanded in 1990 to meet growing demand.During the 1980s, Fred Douglas Society and Manitoba Housing partnered to create Fred Douglas Place, a life lease building on Vaughan Street. It opened in 1988.The redevelopment of four floors above the Vaughan Street YM-YWCA was completed in 1999. Fred Douglas Heritage House is a supportive housing complex for seniors.

WELCOME TOFRIENDS TOGETHER PRESCHOOL INC!Friends Together is a parent-run co-operative pre-school for 3, 4 and 5 year old children (children must be 3 years old by December 31).Friends Together began in 1976, and is a non-profit organization, funded through parents monthly fees and a yearly government grant. The classroom is housed at 830 North Drive in Fort Garry.Each Friends Together class has a high adult to child ratio. Classes of 16 children are supervised by a teacher, a teacher's aide and a parent helper.Friends Together staff hold the required education and many extras, as well as infant and child CPR and First Aid training.The school is licensed by the Manitoba Child Daycare Office.
