This place is awesome - 10 constantly rotating craft beers on tap, plus a bunch more in bottles. Menu is tasty, if somewhat limited.
Live music Thurs/Fri/Sat nights, so it can be hard to get a spot - it's not a big pub. But the music and atmosphere are awesome, so it's totally worth it.

Wabora is an awesome place for lunch or dinner. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere enjoyable and clean. I highly recommend making reservations to eliminate wait time for seating.
The food is amazing every time I go and is perfect for a special occasion or just for a nice dinner out. I don't think it is that expensive for the quality of food you are receiving, however the alcohol drinks are on the pricey side. I highly recommend Wabora.

I run a fishing tournament in town each year, and this is our breakfast spot. Truth be told, it's really the only place in town that's open at an early hour, but they don't seem to take advantage of that. They act as if they have competition, and it shows with the line-up that greets you. That's really the only down side that we have found, but it speaks volumes about their popularity.

I can't say enough good things about this company. They go beyond what is required. Thoroughly professional. They return calls, provide prompt service, and keep you updated, unlike some others in this area. I had to replace my furnace during heating season, and Tim worked 12 hours straight to get it done. In the middle of this Co-vid 19 virus our car was totalled when we hit a moose late in the evening. Despite all protocols of social distancing and serious health concerns, Griffiths were out PRONTO to assist. They recommended a tow closer to them ( vs. returning to Toronto) to save costs. They were extremely helpful in allowing us to get back to the car to pick up our stuff & answering all our questions regarding insurance. Polite, professional. Perfect.

On Sept 17 I left an envelope with a considerable amount of money enclosed in the back seat of the cab as I went from the Holiday Inn to Portage Inn. The cab driver found it and the cab company phoned my hotel where they had picked me up. The hotel reached me at Portage Inn to let me know the envelope had been turned in and the owner of Independent Taxi drove out to Portage Inn to deliver the envelope himself. Now that is great service! Thanks.
