The Hamilton Program for Schizophrenia is a comprehensive community-based treatment and rehabilitation program. We are dedicated to helping people with schizophrenia through case management services, rehabilitation programs and psychiatric care. We make a long-term commitment to our clients and their families. We are prepared to support each client as long as they continue to require assistance to successfully live in the community. In times of crisis, our psychiatrists and case managers provide direct continuous care. In the event that hospitalization is required, the HPS team continues in the treatment delivery through formal links with St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Centre for Mountain Health Services.
Our goal is to see each client actively pursuing a healthy and fulfilling life in the community. To this end, we provide support to individuals at home or work and in leisure activities. Situated in downtown Hamilton, we are easily accessible by public transportation.
