I love this place! The staff are amazing, and make you feel SO comfortable. They make every effort to talk to you and explain things in detail if need be. The hygienists are all so gentle, you would never know they were cleaning while they do it. Very trendy location, and decor. Hopefully they get Wi-Fi sometime soon so you can use your phone to watch shows as an alternative to the great TV's they have for each patient room!

Working with Randall Friedman over the past months has changed my life. Through deep tissue massage pain and tension has been released in my back, shoulders and neck. We recently went on a trip to Africa and got a bunch of our supplies from MEC including mosquito nets, sleeping bags, quick dry and wicking clothes, hiking boots etc. There was a great girl working there that had just been to Africa and gave us a preview of what we could expect. Hill's is a throwback to the family clothing shops of yesterday and they do a wonderful job keeping the tradition alive. Specializing in higher end brands, Hill's carries clothing and shoes for men, women and children that are distinctive and hard to find other one roof anywhere but Hill's of Kerrisdale. They can be pricey but the sale racks help the pocketbook a bit in that regard. The staff are generally warm and friendly. Visit Hill's of Kerrisdale for your family's clothing needs!

Even though I do a lot of book shopping online these days I still love going to Chapters and browsing the aisles and aisles and aisles of books. This store is great by virtue of its location and the knowledgeable staff who can guide you to almost any title in the store. It is also a great place to while away an afternoon flipping through books you may buy since the staff pretty much leaves you to your own devices if this is what you are choosing to do. They also have a great little gift section for unique and interesting gift items. They used to have a pretty good music section but this is being renovated right now...possibly because they are no longer going to carry music. Head into Chapters at Broadway and Granville and lose yourself in the books!

As an alumni of Pacific Dance I would recommend this school to anyone looking to put their children in ballet. Pacific is one of the best schools on Vancouver Island and is renowned for their year end performances. The school offers a wide range of classes & schedules to accommodate event the busiest of families. The live piano is just an extra bonus. This studio has it all, great location (right downtown), amazing selection of classes, great teachers and great classmates. I came here as I had been out of ballet for a few years and was looking for a studio that offered adult classes. Not only were the classes exactly what I was looking for, they really motivated me to get back into dance as much as possible. They have everything from beginner to advanced classes, from Ballet to Hip Hop. You won't find a better studio for the 19+ crowd.

Located right at the main entrance to Granville Island sits the Granville Island Brewery. Due to their popularity I think it has been a long time since this location was their main production facility but that hasn't stopped them from turning this into a unique and fun tourist attraction on the Island. Offering tours daily, you can learn about how their beer is made and more about the history of this unique little piece of brewing history in Vancouver. Granville Island Brewery was one of the first microbreweries in Canada and obviously they did a great job because they started a revolution in the Canadian brewing industry and were even just acquired by Molson Coors earlier this year. After your tour you get to sit and enjoy a sampler tray of 3 different beers. Or, you can just skip the tour and belly up to the bar in the tasting room and try all of their great brews named after Vancouver neighbourhoods and landmarks. For a fun and interesting group outing hit the Granville Island Brewery and enjoy a taste of Vancouver History!

The food tastes good, but it's nothing special. There's not that additional "oomph" to it to make it exceptional. The drinks were standard. I enjoyed the spinach salad, but did not like the French onion soup too much. Also, the soup didn't look good.
The environment is like a standard pub, which is good but nothing special again.
The service was great. My friend broke her glass, and they kindly cleaned the mess quickly without any fuss.

I visited West with a friend that had been there a couple of times before. The outside of the restaurant was very unassuming. You would have no idea that there was a fantastic restaurant inside. Parking may be an issue as it's a busy streetfront but they did seem to have valet. We sat at the bar and had cesars until our table was ready--made fresh with muddled tomato right in front of our eyes. The food was all amazing both in appearance and taste. REALLY good. I would definitely eat here again!
