Sportcare has been servicing the Capital area skaters for their sharpening needs since they opened their original shop in the King's Arrow Arena in Oromocto in 1970. In 1983 Sportcare opened their Fredericton shop at 224 Queen Street located 2 doors up from MacTavish Source for Sports. Although working out of a small shop, a lot of work comes through their doors. The main business may be sharpening skates, but other services include, blade replacement, contouring, all types of skate repairs, racquet stinging, golf club regripping and shafting, sporting goods repair, and hockey stick repair. We are now sharpening knives, scissors and lawn mower blades. The Grant/Harvey Center opened in 2012.
