I just picked up my first ever carbon frame road bike from BSP in North Vancouver. Not only am I wonderfully impressed with the bike (a Trek Domane) but I am ridiculously impressed by the quality of the customer care I received from the moment I walked in the door.
The techie that took care of me the most (Simon) was warm, encouraging, supportive, very knowledgable - and relentlessly asked questions to make sure we found the right bike for me. From the earliest visits - right through to test riding the shortlisted models, I could not have asked for better client care.
On buying a computer and some other bits and bobs, James (store manager) was again, utterly obsessive about making sure I got the kit that was best suited for the type of riding I was planning to do. With the help I received from the other fellows in the store, I can give five big, yellow, shiny stars to BSP in North Van. If I could, I'd give them six - and I would say I am typically a very fussy customer.

Huge diverse selection of gear and really fulfills their title as a "skateboard superstore". This shop caters to every niche of skateboarding imaginable and the staff is very knowledgeable about all their product. Ive been a regular in the shop ever since they opened about three years ago, and love it how they always have new creative displays and murals each time I visit. During a six month federal energy conservation project, City Farmer was created. Read about the group's formative months in a report written by the project's leader. 'The first issue of City Farmer came out at the end of July (1978) and the second at the end of August. Both received a very positive response. The paper attempts to interest the public by showing them examples of successful Vancouver city farmers. It also reports on political issues that affect the city farmers (there has been a great deal of controversy lately about a particular woman in Vancouver who raises chickens in defiance of city by-laws), and products and information that are of use to them.
The West End Seniors' Network now operates from 3 different locations. In Denman Place Mall we run a thrift store, Clothes and Collectibles, and an Information and Referral centre, Kay's Place. WESN's main offices are located in Barclay Manor, a space dedicated by the City of Vancouver for seniors, where we work co-operatively with the West End Community Center to provide a variety of programs and activities.
