Welcome to Shoore. For many children learning is a frustrating process. Whether it's because the pace is too fast, or because a learning problem such as ADHD, has restricted the student's potential, the results are usually the same - resistance, frustration and failure. With 45 years of experience in education, I know first-hand that traditional schools may not always be able to recognize or address learning problems. At the same time though, I have seen what children with learning differences can accomplish when they are placed in a supportive learning environment suited to their needs.
For over a decade, Scholars Education Centre has successfully been providing exceptional quality, service, and Real Life Results to families. Scholars provides families with an affordable, professional, and comfortable learning environment that fosters lifelong growth for students in education, self-confidence, self-esteem, and socialization. We believe in developing long-term partnerships within our local communities and with families.
Our goal is to transform ordinary lives into extraordinary ones through Faith, Leadership, Character and Achievement. We also believe that a faith-based education will develop a strong foundation for character development; nurture leadership qualities by developing confidence, respect and moral integrity; and equip our students with the capacity to be effective citizens in society.
Ruth Rumack's Learning Space (RRLS) offers unique educational support for students in the Greater Toronto Area. Whether your child struggles with a learning difference, or needs additional homework support to succeed at a higher academic level, our goal is to provide him or her with the skills, strategies, and confidence needed to achieve academic success. We understand the individuality of learners and the uniqueness of their educational paths.
Our school will be an inviting place where all individuals work harmoniously to achieve excellence in education in a safe and healthy environment. It will promote continued growth of students and staff as life-long learners within the Ja'fari Islamic values, while upholding and appreciating the changing Canadian society. With the support of the stakeholders, the students will be able to develop their spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social potential. The school environment will nurture a sense of self-worth, self-discipline, understanding of the rights of fellow human beings, interdependence between local and global issues, and above all, develop an integrated Islamic personality.
We are an official British Council IELTS test centre and an authorized CaMLA (Cambridge-Michigan) MELAB centre. Both IELTS and MELAB are paper-based tests designed by Cambridge University (UK). Both include one-on-one speaking components with real people. Our certified examiners are regularly monitored for accuracy.
The Toronto Heschel School was founded in 1996 by experienced and specialized educators who chose Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel as the religious and philosophical inspiration of the school, to impart to the children the spirit of awe, thanksgiving and wonder. Our Jewish Day School opened its doors in September 1996 with 52 students, from JK to grade 3, in the educational wing of Beth David Synagogue in Toronto. In 1999, The Toronto Heschel School applied and received a grant from PEJE (Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education) to expand its Junior High Programme at the Adath Israel Synagogue Building. In 2006 the school proudly moved to its current home and amalgamated the two campuses into one 45,000 square feet building located on 6.2 acres of green space. The Toronto Heschel School includes 20 large classrooms, a Beit Midrash, a computer lab, an art studio, a large indoor gymnasium, a library and two music rooms.
