IN 1972 SUKI TAKAGI MOVED TO VANCOUVER, purchased a small salon at the site of our current South Granville location and changed the future of Canadian hairdressing. Japanese by birth, Suki began her career in Beverly Hills, studied the craft in Europe, and in 1972 opened her first salon in Vancouver with no clients but a clear vision of what hairdressing could be. The salon was quite literally built one client at a time, through recommendations from clients or people stopping clients on the street to ask them where they had gone to get their hair cut. By focusing on the cut and creating exciting, easy to maintain hair styles Suki's quickly became 'the must see' salon.

APT Studio is located at 2036 West 11th Ave. in Kitsilano (in the back of the Kits Mini Storage Building) and APT South is conveniently located in the Arbutus Village Shopping Centre #180-4255 Arbutus St. across the street from the Arbutus Club in Kerrisdale and features a Classroom with exclusive Fitness Classes taking place throughout the day and is also the home of Halestorm Physiotherapy and Fit to Train Human Performance Systems.

I find freedom and inspiration in movement whether I am watching or actually moving. I have been given the opportunity to introduce my Pilates and dance classes to the diverse training I have had through a warm up and work out that brings them into full body awareness, finding their center by getting both deep through the mind and the body as well as their breathe. By incorporating mat based moves to dance class and dance based moves to pilates I have brought grace to the mat and stability to the dance. We celebrate your victories and encourage you in moments of doubt. While pilates, dance and yoga are serious disciplines, when incorporated into your regular exercise routine, it can bring joy, balance and inner peace in your life.

On September 18th, 1998, Jet Simon was born at only 26 weeks. Due to his prematurity, doctor's explained the likelihood of Jet developing learning difficulties was high, Jet's mom, Joey Simon decided to train in the principles of Montessori education to help and encourage Jet in his learning.As artists, Joey and Jet's father, Darryl, shared their love of art with Jet. When Jet became a toddler, Joey and Jet went to the library, read art books and started painting. Jet was especially interested in the life stories of the artists.Four year old Jet's paintings and art stories were impressive. Other parents asked Joey if she would consider offering art workshops for children. 4Cats was born
