I've been here more than once and found the staff to be awesome and very accommodating. My only issue would be consistency of rules amongst staff. It's a nurturing place to stabilize, get back into a routine and stay safe. Lifeskills are stressed here. The groups vary (ie. Ted talks, movie nights, topics, art, games, activities etc) but remember it's NOT treatment. MGC is there to better prepare you for treatment. OCCL is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, memberships, donations and fundraising. The Board of Directors is responsible for ongoing operations. The Local Planning and Coordination Committee (made up of representatives from the literacy agencies in Ottawa) is responsible for literacy service planning.
