Classical ballet and contemporary dance located in Sechelt, BC. Artistic Director - Johanna Waldorf, ARAD, RAD RTS. We provide a focused and inspiring environment for young dancers to develop their knowledge and understanding of classical ballet. Our classes are open to ages 3yrs and up. We offer a variety of programs including Spring Intensives, Summer Dance Programs, and Professional Vocational Training with exceptional teachers and guests.
Our social classes are designed for any beginner who has always wanted to learn dance. We make our classes fun and easy, while still imparting the correct technique and style. Our specialty is in the ?rhythm u0026 smooth? dances; which include the following Swing, Latin, Ballroom, Country 2 Step and Club Style Dances. Dance Works Academy was established in Gibson's in 1993, and over the past seventeen years has evolved into a full performing arts school. DWA is certified in the I.S.T.D. and is the only school on the coast also certified in the R.A.D. Today with 14 talented and highly qualified teachers and operating out of three studio's DWA delights in offering quality training in an encouraging atmosphere.
