The Royal and McPherson Theatre Society (RMTS) is a not-for-profit organization that manages all operational aspects of the Royal Theatre and the McPherson Playhouse. We are unique as we provide 'one stop shopping' for our clients, in that we handle the rentals and upkeep of the venues, provide box office, technical and front of house services. The RMTS currently functions as a rental venue and not a producing arts organization.

Slipstream courses are widely recognized by many agencies including, but not limited to, the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Natural Resources Canada, Canadian Coast Guard, Parks Canada, and many others.Slipstream has been in existence since 1990 and regularly teaches courses throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, and Japan.

Adults and teens can take their youngsters to our plays to see interesting characters involved in compelling stories that incorporate song and dance. Our audiences laugh, sometimes cry, and often learn something new.We also provide a place for people, of all ages and walks of life, to volunteer in any aspect of the theatre. Our volunteers meet, work, and play with each other. Wisdom is imparted from the old to the young and vice versa.
