Dancing with Michel & Company offers classes in social dances for adults of all ages. We are located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. We focus on a variety of dance styles, including: Dances from the Swing Era (Lindy, Jive, Jitterbug), Classic International Style Ballroom dances (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz), International Style Latin (Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, Jive), and Dances from the hot clubs of Havana and Miami (Salsa, Merengue, Bachata). The pace of a typical class has been honed over the years, so that it is appropriate for most students (we keep it interesting for all). Each hour of instruction will include a new dance sequence along with a review of content of the previous class. Our primary focus is on providing a fun, energetic atmosphere which is conducive to learning. We teach using a structured program punctuated with humour and attention to detail.
