Took my father to Dr. Thomas's office for a consultation on two of his cavity-ridden front teeth. After a thorough exam (we didn't feel rushed to leave) using state-of-the-art equipment, he said that he could try to save the teeth (other dentists said they couldn’t) and that the surgical procedure was affordable. He seemed knowledgeable and interested in helping my father. The procedure results were great and, while my father isn't fond of dentists, under Dr. Thomas's care, he felt at ease.

Needed a dentist on a Sunday for a fractured root canal tooth that had a temp filling. (side of tooth broke off)
Dentist was able to put a new temp filling in for me until I could see my dentist on Tuesday.
Very thorough (better temp filling than my regular dentist does) explained what he was doing, he asked lots of questions and made sure I was satisfied w filling before I left. He also gave me notes to bring to my regular dentist explaining the work he did.

It was very evident that there was a shortage of appropriate accommodations. Existing support service projects had extensive waiting lists with a possible vacancy of 1 - 2 per years. Many people were having to face the grim possibility of chronic care institutions, or having to move home to inaccessible environments and put the onus on family members for assistance; hence the birth of Nucleus. That group of patients were the founding consumers of Nucleus. We first requested a meeting with Jackie Rodgers who was with the Accommodation and Support Service Committee of the Ontario Advisory Council for Physically Disabled.
