Family-owned business specializing in field gear for over 25 years. Mark Wheeler started his business in 1983 while he was stationed in Germany. After leaving the forces in 1985, he relocated to New Brunswick, Canada and established their factory in Fredericton, close to where a good portion of combat arms training takes place in Canada. Production of the CPGear brand is done locally in Fredericton, NB which includes the embroidery and custom services. We have made significant contributions to engineering works throughout the Maritime Provinces, and we're often called upon to provide solutions for challenging and complicated engineering projects. GEMTEC has always used the latest innovations in technology; in fact, we were the first New Brunswick company in Atlantic Canada to use a pile driving analyzer (PDA), a piezocone, and a seismic cone. Our customized laboratory software was developed in-house and is unique to the engineering field. We also use industry-leading finite difference and finite element software programs, such as Visual MODFLOW and GeoStudios, which can be used for groundwater modeling, stress and deformation analysis, and slope stability analysis.
