We have come every year in December from Hamilton to Simcoe to see the Christmas lights. We stop at the Barrel Restaurant first, and it is a highlight of our trip: excellent food, excellent atmosphere. There is a very large menu, so I know people can order what they want and sometimes get something different from what they want. Suffice to say that I find the Penne Capri on par with meals served in Italy, and my husband and in-laws refuse to order anything other than the lasagna because they enjoy it so much every time. Every weekend we take the kids out for a meal at McDonald’s in Aylmer Ontario to give us a break from cooking. They are always very pleasant, friendly, and quick. We placed an order in the drive through and it turned out to be wrong. We went in to get what we were missing and the staff was amazing! They apologized, gave us our food and the manager gave us a full refund for the inconvenience. Now that is service!! Thank you!! Kathryn

The 54 acre pine forest setting is reminiscent of Northern Muskoka, an ideal setting for creative artists. Arthur Caverly had the vision in the 19202s to plant 85,000 pine seedlings and dredge a 2 1/2 acre lake with a team of horses. This early conservation has given us today, the beautiful tranquility of Pinecroft.
