The Umha Is A Minor Hockey Organization For Boys And Girls Ages 4 To 21. Our Program Runs From Late September To The End Of March. Centered In Unionville, Ontario, Our Main Arenas Are Angus Glen Community Centre And Crosby Memorial Community Centre. The Unionville Minor Hockey Association Began Back In October Of 1954 With The Creation Of The Unionville Hockey Club (Uhc). The Uhc Started Playing That Year On Wednesday Nights At Crosby Arena. The Minor Hockey Teams Played Their Games Prior To The Home Game For The Unionville Jets Junior C Team. The Jets Are Older Than The Umha, Having Been Named The Unionville Jets In November Of 1950. Many Of The Early Graduates Of The Uhc Minor Hockey Program Went On To Play For The Jets. Our Mission Statement Can Be Summed Up In Four Words-Hockey Is For Kids. At The House League Level Our Focus Is On Developing The Skills Of All Players And Teaching Them To Respect Their Teammates, Their Opponents, And The Officials. This Will Ensure That They Enjoy The Sport And Benefit From Being Part Of A Team. The Umha Has Over 800 Players Involved In Its House League Program. The Continued Success Of This Program Is The Primary Goal Of The Umha And Its Executive Members. Equitable Ice Time, Positive Reinforcement, And Emphasizing The Learning Opportunities Associated With Winning And Losing Games Are Essential Components Of Program.
The OACCAC supports the contribution of Ontario's CCACs to the health-care policy landscape by developing papers, submissions and reports on health policy, and by providing information and analysis on legislation and regulation that affect CCACs and the delivery of home and community care. CCACs are the only part of the Ontario's health-care system with single province wide e-health platform. This provides all CCACs access to common information and the ability to leverage technology to support strong connections and effective communication between home care, hospitals and primary care.
