DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society (DIVERSEcity) is a registered non-profit agency offering a wide range of services and programs to the culturally diverse communities of the lower mainland. DIVERSEcity was established in 1978 (under its founding name of SURREY DELTA IMMIGRANT SERVICES SOCIETY (SDISS)) and has over three decades of service to the community. DIVERSEcity prides itself on its well-founded expertise in assisting immigrants and new Canadians in their integration into their new community.
The roots of Fraserside Community Services extend back to 1972 when a small group of people formed a support group to help one another cope with, and overcome, personal challenges. Calling themselves ''Self Aid Never Ends'' (SANE), members believed that the most effective way to overcome personal difficulties was through self-help. With a government grant, the group developed its first community initiative - The Sapperton Thrift Store
JDRF in its commitment to developing new and better treatments that improve the lives of people with T1D in the near term, and keep them healthy while we advance toward a cure.
United Way has worked to prevent social problems like child poverty, bullying and senior isolation in the Lower Mainland for over 80 years. Working with over 150 community partners, we fund about 450 programs each year to create a better future for children and seniors.
