Emerald Ash Borer in GeorginaThe Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a highly invasive insect that attacks, feeds on, and kills all species of healthy ash trees. EAB was first sighted in York Region in 2008, and is now found throughout the Region and much of southern Ontario. Over the next three to five years the Towns Parks & Facilities Division will be removing infested trees. Additional trees of a different species will be planted throughout Georgina, under the Georgina Tree Planting Program, during usual planting seasons in the fall and spring. Muskoka Lakes Garden's and More is located at 1015 District Road 169, 4 kilometers north of the Segwun docks in West Gravenhurst. Owned and operated by Hans and Cathy Van Klink since 1996. We are a full service garden centre that is open from April to December, during the spring and summer. The garden centre carries a vast salection of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, evergreens, fruits and vines. During peak season, we have one of Muskoka's largest selection of perennials including just about every variety of perennials that is hardy to this area. In spring, the greenhouses are jammed full with colourful hanging baskets, planters and flats of every conceivable type of annual plant.
