OUR MANDATE is to make dance available to all who wish to pursue it: this is the guiding principle which breathes through the school. Any dancer who is committed and fulfills the requirements, can take advantage of extra performance opportunities by auditioning for our annual production of NUTCRACKER, performed in December.Our students learn that dance is a communication tool and this knowledge gives them a sense of excitement about dance as creative expression. Many of our students have pursued their education in dance and choreography at professional schools and universities. Some of them have become professional artists in their own right. All have acquired a true appreciation and love for dance.

MOVE is run by two professional directors – Shawn Desman and Beatriz Leonardo. Dance Place-Welland & Fonthill has three spacious studios at 397 Thorold Road, as well as three spacious studios at our brand-new location at 27 Thorold Road. Serving the Welland and Niagara area since 1979, our studios are equipped with sprung floors, mirrors and barres.
