Founded in 1969, the North Vancouver Community Arts Council is a charitable community cultural organization whose mandate is to enable emerging and professional artists in all media and to bridge cultures and build strong communities through the arts and heritage.

Our capabilities are extensive allowing us to take a project from concept to creation. This is complemented with strong vendor relationships for materials, parts and additional outsourced services.

I have practiced alternative medicine for the past 15 years with an intense love for its healing ability and the art itself. When asked how I began my journey, I say I was drawn in many years ago while taking small courses in massage and meditation in England. I felt a resonance for the sacred energy I felt. While living in Australia, I was accepted into and completed a four-year Naturopathic Degree in 1993. I was strongly mentored particularly in herbal medicine and homeopathy and this planted a seed inside me which continues to grow.During a six month trip through Asia on my return to Canada, I spent time with Dr. H. L. Chitkara in his homeopathic practice in Delhi India. I was inspired and developed a deeper appreciation for homeopathy.Upon return to Canada, I added a strong technical foundation and Traditional Chinese Medicine education with a further three years at CCNM in Toronto. My passion for homeopathy continued. I was awakened to new and profound ideas about homeopathy while studying with Lou Klein in Vancouver.

We are primarily a physiotherapy clinic specializing in Manual Therapy. We also are now one of Vancouver's only clinics to offer transitional yoga, pilates and strengthening workshops.

Showcase Pianos has made a name for itself serving exquisite instruments of music to cherish and enjoy, with a crescendo of acclaim that resounds throughout Vancouver's concert halls. Showcase Pianos carries only the finest artist's instruments, highlighting world-class brands such as Fazioli, Grotrian, and Bechstein's 'W. Hoffmann' line. But it was the Fazioli piano that inspired Manuel the most. For many years there was much talk in the piano community about a man in Italy who was making the finest pianos in the world. "We kept hearing that more and more famous pianists were converting to playing on Fazioli pianos, so I really wanted to bring them here," says Manuel. So he introduced one of the greatest concert grands in the world to his talented locale, handmade by world-renowned Paolo Fazioli. The German-made Grotrians are another notable draw - as are the economical 'W. Hoffmann' series by Bechstein, another performance instrument completely made in Europe.
