At Da Chef’s Padella, we take pride in excellent food and service. From the moment you walk in the door we treat you like family. You can smell the fresh aromatic spices and seasonings just like the chef’s mamma’s kitchen back home in Italy. Many of the recipes Chef Johnny prepares are family recipes that have been passed down thru generations. His passion and love for Italian cuisine is tasted in every bite. The Chef uses fresh local ingredients. Our menu includes traditional Italian appetizers, pasta’s, entrées and desserts with a modern spin. Chef Johnny takes pride in preparing daily features to compliment the season. All of our menu and daily features are made fresh to order, it allows our Chef to add or subtract ingredients upon customer requests. Thus we are able to accommodate most allergens. Chef Johhny began his career in the town of Brindisi, Italy. He was Head Chef at well known restaurants in Toronto, Canada, Munich, Germany and Melbourne, Australia.
I've been twice now, and both times were absolutely fantastic. The Gnocchi I ate the first time there was the best I've ever had, and it's not even close. I actually moaned, involuntarily, taking a bite of it. Bruschetta was the appetizer I had. The ratio of tomatoes to bread to garlic and herbs was perfect. Lastly came the tiramisu. Absolutely delectable. melted in my mouth. Sure it's a bit dingy inside, but they're making upgrades as they can, and the food more than makes up for it. Read more
Enjoying a meal at La Scala is a culinary journey, their award winning chefs use fresh ingredients and cook all items as per order to enhance the taste of all meals. La Scala is open six days a week and can be booked for private functions and catering needs ~ at their place or your place. La Scala is able to close the restaurant for private functions of 40 people or more.

This is a hidden gem over near the airport on Matheson. A friend of mine works in the area and he suggested it for a Saturday night dinner. We had a great time as the food was hot, fresh, and tasted great, plus the service was very professional. I like places where they have a pride of ownership and this is one where the owners are active in the business, the chef came from the kitchen to check on our meal, and they genuinely appreciated our business. Located at Eglinton and Davisville, this Italian great has been serving its community for 11 years. Grano is famous for their selection of seafood such as octopus and squid as well as their grilled chicken and vegetable dishes. There is also a bakery serving fresh baked goods, as well as an Italian gift shop.
