The Cortina is designed and built for competition, but can be used for a wide variety of riding, including as a gravel racer, or versatile commuter. Cortina's have T3 carbon-fiber frames, disc brakes, wide-range double-chainring drivetrains, and larger 33–35mm tires, with tapered head tubes, Power Taper seat tubes, mechanical/electronic-convertible internal cable routing, and carbon straight-blade forks. Design features include Marin's responsive R2 Cyclocross geometry - stable through the corners but with an agile front end to hold the line - and wider frameset dimensions to fit larger tires.
