Living Rock is responding to youth with a variety of risk factors such as poverty, mental illness, addictions and the disenfranchised. Together with the support of generous partners and supporters Living Rock aims to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for youth to move beyond their circumstances with the right supports in place.

Our programs are dedicated to improving the quality of our client's lives and to enhancing community safety through professional therapeutic intervention, support, assessment, and referral. Our staff works closely with other community organizations and groups to respond to changing community needs and to develop innovative service projects.
The people felt there was a great need for a Gathering Place in the Hamilton community. After a lot of hard work and encouragement from the Secretary of State and the Aboriginal community, the Letters Patent were issued on June 19, 1973. The founding members were Stewart Victor Longboat, Helen Van Norman Probert and Elwood Cecil Montour.
A Supportive Housing Program in an accessible co-ed group home setting, offers a family like atmosphere with attendant support. Successful applicants include those who are willing and able to direct their own services and as important, those who would enjoy and benefit from living in a shared setting, where the emphasis is on participation.
