Hi there. Have you ever heard of a little village called Crystal City? It is situated smack dab in the centre of Canada, afew miles north of the USA border, in, as I say, the best province in Canada, in the best country in the world. Other folks are going to give you the statistics, facts, living costs and particulars on later pages but this is my own overview of life in Crystal City. So that you may understand my passion and knowledge regarding this, let me give you just a very short Bio.

In 1945 W.B. 'Tommy' Humphreys returned to Jackson, MS after four years of serving his country. Tommy arrived home to a new wife and no source of income but had no interest in taking on the family business of farming. Soon after, a local company, JB Stokes, was looking for a worker. They had three eager men show up to claim the job. An ultimatum was handed down; 'All of you will be on the payroll for one week, and the best worker gets the job.' As my Grandmother told me, 'And knowing your grandfather, you know who won the job of course.' Within a few years Tommy became a leader within the company and moved to Mobile, AL to manage a regional branch.

The Village of Glenboro is ideally situated at the junctions of Highways #2 and #5 in the Westman region of Manitoba, Canada. This community of 656 is located approximately 170 km west of Winnipeg, 42 km south of the Trans Canada Highway, 80 km Southeast of Brandon and just 60 km north of the United States border. The R.M. of South Cypress is located on the very eastern edge of the Westman regional boundary.
