Incorporated in 1963, as a private corporation, FRED SURRIDGE LTD. started operation from a humble basement shop. From its inception, it dedicated itself to the municipal market, which still remains the cornerstone of its business. One of the first supply houses established in the Province of British Columbia with specialization in water and wastewater industry.During the first two decades, it enjoyed an unprecedented growth. After outgrowing four different locations in the city of Vancouver, in 1979 it moved its operation to its new offices and warehouse facilities on a two-acre site in the city of Richmond. By not having to send your eyeglasses to a distant lab for processing we are able to save our customers both time and money.Giving back to the community has always been important to the Directors of Visions One Hour Optical. Visions One Hour Optical gives back through many corporate donations to local events and charities. Visions has sponsored Canuck Place, local sports teams, and been part of the popular food bank and Christmas tree programs. Visions is also proud to support third world eye care programs by donating new eyeglasses. The ten locations of Visions One Hour Optical are also donation points for used eyeglasses, which also go to the third world, giving needy people the gift of sight.
