A Commercial Drive antique store specializing in affordable and refurbished mid-century modern furniture and home décor.
Started in 1995, we celebrate our 20th year in Taiwanese specialty with our 11th Restaurant located on 1947 West 4th Ave. Under the Bubble world group, "Tai One Vancouver" brings Taiwanese cuisine to a new level, by fusing various elements from Thai, Southern Asia and other cuisines, and creating many one-of-a-kind dishes. The restaurant also features over 200 choices of non-alcoholic drinks and distinct variations of Taiwanese Beer and Asia Wines.
This store opened recently as part of the revitalization of the area south of the Cambie Bridge. This is an interesting concept for the store that brought us the sprawling big box stores of the 'burbs that we have come to know and love. This store is on 1.5 levels on a smaller footprint and offers almost anything you can imagine for the do-it-yourself-er in an urban setting. In fact its the "almost" in the previous statement that costs this store a 5. It is true that they offer almost anything but if you want to do any larger projects involving copious amounts of lumber, landscaping stone, plants, soils and other landscaping materials you will still need to visit one of the big stores. All that aside, if you are looking for anything else this is a great store to hit, particularly given their location. My child and I particularly enjoy the monthly (every second Saturday) children's workshops where the kids get to build a fun, wood-based project. Afterward there are a myriad of options to pursue such as a walk at the sea-wall around False Creek or a hot chocolate at Starbucks. Check it out next time you're in the area and you will leave impressed! Read more

Some of the best Mexican food in Vancouver can be found at Las Margaritas on West 4th Avenue in Kitsilano. Under new ownership since 1994, the long standing Kitsilano dining institution attracts many faithful diners with it's Cantina-style look and menu. Las Margaritas has rebuilt and expanded their 60 seat patio which has been voted one of the best in Vancouver. At Las Margaritas you'll find what's been called the city's best salsa and margaritas, as well as the largest tequila selection in B.C. Las Margaritas serves up hearty portions and the price range is hard to beat. Owner Dan Rodriguez and general manager Rolando Guardia serve food more from the north of Mexico, Baja and California. Rodriguez frequently visits Mexico, Southern California and the Baja to make sure his restaurant keeps up with current trends in Mexican food and drinks. Las Margaritas' Mexican food is made from the finest, freshest ingredients available.
