We are building an addition to our existing West Vancouver home and needed an excavation team. Al, Blake and George were able to fit us in and went above and beyond what we ever hoped for. They needed to excavate tons of earth and large rocks which are expensive to dispose of. In less than two hours, Al and his team managed to quickly and effortlessly use much of the additional soil and granite rocks to build a stepped walkway and berm on a much neglected side of the house saving us over $1000 in removal fees and improving the property immensely. However, the best part was the attitude and passion of this team lead by Al. They were incredibly fast and really fun to work with. I strongly recommend Al and his company to anyone.

I cannot speak for the sales team years ago, when my son and I wanted to buy a new 2018 Escape and was on the car lot and nobody paid us any attention for over 30 minutes. So we went to Key West Ford and bought a new Escape days later. However, the service department at Westcoast is unmatched with high quality reliable staff and we've gone there for years.

Al Scott Lock & Safe was started in Vancouver from the ground up in 1973. The first service truck was a 1963 GMC pickup truck with a homemade camper for a shop on the back of the truck. The business was started by Allan and his wife Eileen Scott. Al saw the need for a locksmith company to provide professional locksmith service that would master key the large commercial buildings and keep an accurate file of the codes for the convenience of the building management people and also provide better building security. Over the next 13 years the Scott's with the help of many people were able to build a company with 6 mobile units and 2 stores. By 1991 Al and Eileen decided that it was time to retire but were very concerned about what would happen to the customers that had come to rely on the master key systems that they had provided and also about the future of their loyal employees.
