I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how happy we have been with your food and services over the years. We have been coming to your restaurant for 15 years and we have never had a complaint about any of the dishes. This Christmas Eve we planned to order from your restaurant for a group of 10. I was able to put my order in on Saturday for Monday at 6:15. It was ready at exactly the time that my husband and & son-in-law arrived. The food was wonderful & helped to make our Christmas Eve a special and stress-free evening.

This is by far the best sushi in Toronto. The Kokyo roll is the best, along with a whole bunch of other special rolls. If you love sashimi, then get the Johnny roll. Love this place!

I have been coming here for over 25 years. Best Chinese food in the Durham region for the price. Great price and huge portions always have leftovers to eat the next day. You have to try this place.

We had chef's special sushi and sashimi plate, caterpillar roll, bibimbab. Everything was fresh, nicely presented. I had thick and fresh cuts of tuna, yellow tail, unagi, and even ikura sushi in the sushi plate, it was a nice selection of nigiri sushi. Caterpillar roll was bigger than I thought, and it came with miso soup and salad. One of my Japanese friend ordered bibimbab, and I didn't know it is served in the heated stone pot, it was very unique. The pot was still hot until we finish our meal!
We spend around $60 for 3, considering it was dinner time, I guess it's reasonable price. Also we were seated in Tatami room which was very nice. It seems great for small party around 6 people.

To be honest, I don't think I have anything really negative to say about this restaurant. We visited for lunch on a Sunday, and were the first people in the restaurant. As a party of seven, we were seated at an assembled table right by the bar near the front of the restaurant.
From what I can recall, we ordered the Manchurian Chicken, Chili Chicken (dry), mixed vegetables, butter chicken, and chicken chow mein - looking back, yes that was a lot of chicken - and it was all rather delicious.

I have been going to Satay on the Road off and on for the better part of 15 years and have never once in that time had a disappointing meal. The food is always fantastic and despite having tried a myriad of different items I always come away from Satay satisfied. Of particualr note are one of the appetizers and one of the mains. First, the appetizer. Golden Baskets. They should call them by their full name...Golden Baskets of Amazing Tasty-ness with Just the Right Amount of Flavourful Spicy Goodness. I guess there isn't enough room on the menu for that though. These and the spring rolls are the perfect combo to kick off your meal. The second is Cashew Nut Chicken. I still hold Satay on the Road's Cashew Nut Chicken up as the gold standard for this dish. On a recent visit it made me miss Toronto...it is that good! The drinks list is kitschy too...they have their cocktail menu on those paper place-mats that used to be all the rage back in the '70s. Ah nostalgia. Anyway, located in the heart of Bayview Village...the area not the mall...Satay on the Road is a must dine for anyone who loves Thai and Malaysian food!

This was my First time at a real Sushi resturant , what a nice experience, they had not been open long, and the service was great, lovely atmosphere, clean quiet calm, it was a nice dining experience not just a meal, we have since returned many time and the standards are still high.

I LOVE AMA SO MUCH! This is the best place to have sushi! I am so glad it is only 3 mins away from where I live! I have been going here since it opened and was run down. They have definitely made a lot of changes since then but the food has stayed amazing! I would recommended going to ama over any sushi place!
