If you're looking for fine dining with great service and a relaxing atmosphere in Toronto, you'll need to look up to the sky and search for Canoe.
Food: The menu is simple yet it's high quality and well prepared dishes with great wine and drinks pairing. We decided to go with an app, an entree, and dessert - although the dishes didn't surprise us, they still met our expectations of high quality. The real treats were the Oyster Boy's Finest and Pan Seared Quebec Foie Gras, each being a great start to our meal. Although it was great, it didn't end with a bang. The meal kept its pace right through to dessert.
Service: The wait staff were very attentive and accomodating. Our server was attentive to our needs, and was engaged without being too involved in our dining experience. I was impressed by the service from everyone this evening!
Atmosphere: I would definitely recommend trying to reserve a table by the window. The place is beautiful with the simple and modern decor, though the view of the city is an added bonus to your meal.
It's definitely worth the visit if you're looking to dine in the sky with a great meal, but be prepared to empty out your wallet, because this place isn't cheap.

Excellent find! I love this place. My friends and I are always finding excuses to head right over to Avenue for lunch... published a paper? Let's do Avenue! got a compliment from the boss? Let's do Avenue! The food is delish ... excellent prices. I've had several of the Quesadillas and pizzas. My favourite, however, is the coffee -- I swear the Cafe Au Lait is the best I've had in the city, the best I've had since my Paris adventure! If you're near, you should stop by!!!!

I like spicy ?? this restaurant serve food very spicy and most importantly temperature hot also. There is a reason why they been around for 30 years and counting....

This is a low lit, romantic, swish place. Not too big, and sometimes not too busy due to its location I think. But its a secret that a few people I have met RAVE about. Good italian food is not difficult, it's just about the ingredients and l'amore. These dishes I had were outstanding, and you know that feeling when it surprises you?! I can't wait to go back.
